The Department of Neurobiology at Northwestern University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position, with an anticipated start on September 1, 2027.

We seek candidates in Molecular/Developmental Neuroscience using innovative approaches to decode nervous system development and function, including genomics, gene regulation and epigenetics, neuronal identity, synapse formation, circuit wiring and behavior.

Qualifications

• PhD and/or MD with outstanding research record.
• Ability to establish and maintain a high-profile research program with extramural funding.
• Strong commitment to excellence in both research and teaching.

Responsibilities

• Engage in teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels within Neurobiology.
