Job summary

UC Berkeley's Department of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor focusing on Landscape and Eco-Technology. The candidate will contribute through teaching, research and/or practice to advance eco-technology in design, public infrastructure, and landscape performance.

Responsibilities include foundational and advanced instruction in topography, materials, and construction; design studio, lectures, seminars, and advising; and

Qualifications

Tenure-track faculty position in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning at UC Berkeley.
Contribution to teaching, research and/or practice through Eco-Technology in contemporary design, praxis, and landscape performance.
Experience with cross-disciplinary collaboration and mentoring is valued.

Responsibilities

Instruct courses in topography, materials, and construction for graduate and undergraduate LAEP.
Deliver design studio, lecture courses, seminars, and advising.
Establish cross-disciplinary research initiatives that advance knowledge of landscape technology across disciplines (health, policy, engineering, environmental design).
Engage in cross-disciplinary discourse, teaching, and research with a record of scholarship and public engagement.
