Job summary

The University of Kentucky, College of Social Work, invites applications for 9-month, tenure-eligible Assistant Professor positions beginning January 2025 or August 2025. We seek candidates with a strong record in scholarship and a plan for externally funded research, plus teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels.

Applicants with interests in clinical practice; behavioral health; substance use; child welfare; health disparities; and community engagement are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• MSW and PhD in Social Work or related field (ABD will be considered).
• Strong potential for high-quality scholarship and securing external funding.
• Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with social service agencies/organizations.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

To continue to advance our support infrastructure for CoSW, we invite applicants for 9-month, tenure eligible, Assistant Professor positions in the Regular Title Series to begin as early as January 2025 or August 2025.

Successful candidates are expected to develop and maintain a strong record of high-impact scholarship (e.g., publications, presentations, etc. and a dynamic, externally funded research program). In addition, successful candidates are expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses. Candidates with research/teaching interests and expertise in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply: clinical practice; behavioral health; substance use disorder(s); child welfare; interpersonal violence; health disparities; community engagement; and/or, differential system impacts among underrepresented groups.
