The Department of Engineering Technology at Texas State University is seeking applicants to fill a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in our growing Construction Science and Management program, beginning in Fall 2027. The undergraduate program is accredited by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE) and currently serves almost 900 students. The department also operates MS and PhD programs in construction management with in-person and online options.
The selected candidate will be expected to excel in teaching and have excellent oral and written English communication skills. The individual selected for this position will be expected to teach primarily at the undergraduate level, but some graduate courses could be assigned periodically, as departmental needs require.
The selected candidate is also expected to conduct research and to secure external funding, establish an independent research program and publish in the areas of building science and construction management, for an emerging research institution. The candidate will also be expected to engage both undergraduate and graduate students in their research activities and to supervise graduate students.
In addition, the selected candidate will participate in appropriate service activities at the program, department, university and professional levels.
