Job Description Summary

Tenure track appointments are full-time with an initial probationary period of seven years. Criteria for promotion include significant achievements in teaching, research/scholarship, and service. The award of tenure is based on potential for sustained contributions, exceeding duties, and demonstrating leadership and innovation that enhance the University's reputation.

The Clinical Scholar Track is for faculty involved in clinical service, education, and related scholarship, with two career paths: Clinician-Educator (teaching focus) and Clinician-Investigator (research focus). Contributions in professional and academic service are required for both paths.

  • Participate in consults, inpatient service coverage, and on-call duties on a rotating basis with medical oncology staff.
  • Establish ambulatory clinics for the medical oncology patient population.
