The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for full-time doctoral-level faculty researchers to join the Human Engineering Research Laboratories (HERL) as Assistant Professor, non-tenure stream. A PhD, MD, DO, or equivalent degree is required, with compensation commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities include securing funding, developing research protocols, disseminating results, mentoring students, and serving on committees.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to mentor students and post-docs.
• Proven ability to collaborate across disciplines.
• Experience in leading or contributing to research projects.

Responsabilités

• Secure peer-reviewed funding and collaborate in research and development.
• Create, design, and participate in research protocols, data collection and analysis.
• Disseminate research findings through publications and presentations.
• Advise and mentor students and post-docs on research projects.
• Serve on HERL and other university committees as approved by the HERL Director.
• Engage in scholarly activity and lead interdisciplinary teams on externally funded projects.
• Represent HERL in university committees and community engagement.
