The Department of History in the College of Letters and Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater seeks a tenure-track faculty member in the area of Early American history (to 1877) beginning August 2026 with rank to be determined at hire. This is a full-time position with responsibilities for teaching undergraduate courses in history, research, and service to the university, community, and profession. Research and teaching expertise should complement existing faculty expertise and may include the ability to teach women’s history, African-American history, public history or digital history.

Well-qualified candidates can expect a minimum starting salary of $60,000 commensurate with the candidate’s education, related experience, and qualifications.
