Job summary

University of Florida invites applications for an Assistant Professor in Geological Sciences with emphasis on Earth and Planetary Remote Sensing. The successful candidate will establish an externally funded research program, mentor graduate students, and teach graduate and undergraduate courses in their areas of expertise, contributing to degree programs in Geophysics, Astrobiology and Planetary Science.

Qualifications

• PhD required or anticipated by August 16, 2027.
• Establish a funded research program and mentor graduate students.
• Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in Geophysics, Astrobiology and Planetary Science.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach courses supporting degree programs in Geophysics, Astrobiology and Planetary Science.
• Engage in interdisciplinary research with UF Astraeus Space Institute and related entities.
• Mentor graduate students and contribute to airborne/space mission collaborations.
