Job summary

Northwood University seeks a dynamic individual to begin teaching in the Spring 2027 semester at our Midland, Michigan campus. The candidate will be hired with the rank of Assistant Professor.

The teaching load for full-time undergraduate faculty is 30 credit hours per academic year, with responsibilities including teaching undergraduate courses within the Entrepreneurship program and participating in curriculum planning, supervision, and scholarly activities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Entrepreneurship or related field from an accredited institution.
• Significant industry experience in entrepreneurial endeavors
• Experience teaching management and entrepreneurship disciplines.
• Well-developed oral and written communication skills in a variety of delivery formats.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses within the Entrepreneurship program.
• Participate in curriculum planning and review; internship/practicum supervision; research and scholarly activities; professional development; university committee activities.
• Engage in recruitment and retention activities; and other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Northwood University is a teaching-focused university with HLC and ACBSP accreditation offering undergraduate and graduate degrees in business-related disciplines. The teaching load for full-time undergraduate faculty is 30 credit hours per academic year (Fall and Spring semesters). Candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate courses within the Entrepreneurship program. Additional responsibilities and expectations may include participation in on-going curriculum planning and review; internship and/or practicum supervision; research and scholarly activities; professional/instructional development; university committee activities; recruitment and retention activities; and other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• Master's degree in Entrepreneurship or closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Significant industry experience in entrepreneurial endeavors
• Experience training and/or teaching in management and entrepreneurship disciplines.
• Ability to interact effectively with a wide and diverse range of students and colleagues.
• Well-developed oral and written communication skills in a variety of delivery formats.

Preferred

• Earned doctorate or terminal degree from accredited institution (such as J.D., Ph.D., OBA; ABD candidates considered if completion date is within one year of hire).
• Experience teaching undergraduate courses.
