Job Summary

RIT’s Department of Electrical and Microelectronic Engineering Technology invites applications for a faculty position specializing in nanoelectronics, semiconductor devices or digital electronics. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Microelectronic Engineering, or a closely related field, and have research expertise in one or more of the following areas: thin films (deposition, etching, metrology), semiconductor materials & device physics, CMOS processing & fabrication, neuromorphic/AI semiconductor devices and circuits, memory devices/technologies, or III‑V semiconductor epitaxy, devices, and metrology. Prior teaching experience, a strong publication record, and a potential for sponsored research are required.

Department

The Electrical and Microelectronic Engineering Department is one of six departments in the Kate Gleason College of Engineering. The department offers bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. programs, serves over 2600 undergraduates and 400 graduate students, and conducts research in advanced manufacturing, biomedical and healthcare engineering, artificial intelligence and machine learning, cyber‑physical systems, micro‑ and nanoscale systems, energy and environment, and data analysis, modeling and simulation.

Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Electrical, Microelectronic, or Computer Engineering or a closely related field.

Additional Details

Work Location: On Campus.

Salary Range: $105,000 – $115,000, based on experience and qualifications.

Anticipated Start Date: December 14, 2026.
