Job summary

The University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine (UPSDM) invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Dental Hygiene Program within the Department of Periodontics and Preventive Dentistry. Candidates must have a CODA-accredited dental hygiene degree and a master’s or higher, with at least 5 years of clinical or professional experience and 3 years of teaching.

Pennsylvania licensure and anesthesia permit eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a CODA-accredited dental hygiene program.
• Master's degree or higher required.
• At least 5 years of clinical or professional experience and 3 years of teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical, laboratory, and didactic instruction for the Dental Hygiene Associate Degree program.
• Participate in committee work, student advising, scholarly activities, research, and professional organization involvement.
• Engage in community service and faculty practice as part of the role.
