Position Overview

The College of Engineering and Science (COES) at Louisiana Tech University invites applications for a tenure‑track faculty position in the Computer Science program. The position focuses on cybersecurity and cyber operations, encouraging expertise in cybersecurity combined with artificial intelligence, machine learning, quantum computing, robotics, smart health, the Internet of Things (IoT), and cyber‑physical systems.

Research Focus

Louisiana Tech University is designated as a Center of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity for Cyber Defense (CAE‑CD) and Cyber Research (CAE‑R). Faculty research efforts are supported by specialized research centers, including the Cybersecurity Applied Innovation Laboratory (CyAIL) and the Center for Secure Cyberspace (CSC), which facilitate collaborative research and provide opportunities for securing external research funding.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high‑impact research in cybersecurity, cyber operations, and emerging technologies.
• Publish in leading academic venues and secure extramural research funding.
• Develop and teach cybersecurity‑related courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
