Northwestern University’s School of Education and Social Policy invites applications for an assistant professor in the Learning Sciences program. The successful candidate will maintain a rigorous, externally funded research program on cognition and learning and contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching.

Qualifications

• Capacity to teach and advise undergraduate and graduate students in broad survey courses related to conceptual development and knowledge representations.
• Applicants trained in learning sciences, psychology, education, cognition or related disciplines with theoretical and empirical depth.
• Welcomes scholars who apply computational methods in research.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a rigorous, externally funded research program on cognition and learning.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the Learning Sciences major and related areas.
