UTMB Health seeks an Assistant Professor Clinical Practice in Orthopaedic Surgery to join our department's clinical, educational, and academic missions. The candidate will provide direct patient care, including surgical procedures, and will supervise and educate residents and students in the OR, clinics, and inpatient settings.

Responsibilities include participation in conferences, CME activities, scholarly work, and local, regional, and national meetings.

• Graduated from an accredited medical school.
• Completed an ACGME approved residency in orthopaedic surgery; trauma surgery interest.
• Certified or board eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery; Texas medical license eligibility without restrictions.

Assistant Professor Clinical Practice - Orthopaedic Surgery

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The position will provide faculty for the clinical, education, and academic missions for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation. Responsibilities will include direct patient care, including surgical procedures, consultations, inpatient and outpatient services, and the supervision and education of residents/students in the OR, clinics, and inpatient settings. The faculty member will also participate in departmental conferences, continuing medical education, scholarly activities, and local, regional and national professional meetings. Additional responsibilities may include service on departmental and Health System committees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate should be a graduate of an accredited medical school, have completed an ACGME approved residency training program in orthopaedic surgery, with an interest in trauma surgery, be Certified/Board Eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery and be eligible for a Texas Medical license without restrictions.

SALARY:
Commensurate with experience.
