Job description
Faculty Position in the Division of Pediatrics

This faculty member will:

  1. Have specific clinical expertise in cellular therapies and stem cell transplantation or neuro-oncology. Other fields of interest might be considered if there is strong evidence of potential for program building.
  2. Lend clinical expertise, provide care, and manage children, adolescents, and young adults with medical conditions treatable by hematopoietic stem cell transplantation or adoptive cellular therapy.
  3. Maintain a supportive research, teaching, and clinical practice environment for trainees and clinical team members.

This position is a joint appointment in the Department of Stem Cell Transplantation.

Medical Education Requirements:
  • Medical degree and residency requirements as defined by the Texas Medical Board.
  • Completed residency training in an approved American Residency Program or equivalent. Must be board certified or board eligible in the American Board of Pediatrics.
  • Must be board certified in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology or Medical Oncology, or possess a foreign equivalent if applicable, or obtain certification within four years of employment.
Experience:
  • At least 2 years’ experience as an Instructor or 5 years post-degree with a combination of clinical, scientific, or GME trainee roles.
