Overview

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is seeking a dynamic and accomplished researcher to join our faculty. The successful candidate will have a robust track record in cardiovascular research and will contribute to cutting-edge research aimed at understanding and treating cardiovascular diseases, leveraging state-of-the-art facilities and a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will drive forward innovative research initiatives that can translate into clinical practice. In addition to research responsibilities, the role involves teaching and mentoring. The candidate will shape the next generation of cardiovascular specialists through lectures, seminars, and hands-on training. There are opportunities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including clinicians, engineers, and basic scientists, to foster a synergistic approach to cardiovascular research. Access to extensive institutional resources will support the candidate’s research endeavors and impactful contributions to cardiovascular medicine.

Responsibilities
  • Write and publish research in high-quality peer-reviewed scientific journals; attend and present research at national and international scientific conferences; develop national and international scholarly reputation.
  • Instruct and mentor junior scientists, doctoral and postdoctoral students, medical students, residents, and fellow trainees; participate in department, college, and university committees and initiatives.
  • Conceptualize, plan, design, implement, and conduct research studies in cardiovascular medicine; develop and write grant proposals to obtain funding to support the research program; obtain and maintain NIH R01 or equivalent funding.
