The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Notre Dame invites applications for tenure-track assistant professor positions at the intersection of biology and chemical engineering.

Candidates with strong research programs in biomolecular, biochemical, biotechnology, or bioprocess engineering are sought; exceptional senior candidates may be considered for Associate Professor or Professor.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or closely related field by July 1, 2027 (expected).
• entry-level candidates must have completed all requirements for Ph.D. or be within reach by July 1, 2027; advanced candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead an innovative research program in biomolecular/biochemical/bioprocess engineering.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
• Contribute to department and university service.
