Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in Biomechanics or related field; ABD may be considered with expected completion within one year from appointment date.
• Experience teaching at university level in biomechanics is preferred.
• Experience delivering undergrad/grad biomechanics coursework and mentoring students.
• Experience using biomechanics hardware and software (e.g., force platforms, motion capture, EMG) and MATLAB, Qualisys, Visual3D.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction at undergraduate and graduate levels in biomechanics and related courses.
• Advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
• Develop an active biomechanics research agenda leading to publications and presentations.
• Seek external funding and supervise graduate/undergraduate projects.
• Provide service to the department, university, and professional organizations.

Major Responsibilities

Teaching

• Provide instruction at both the undergraduate and graduatelevels in biomechanics and other courses as assigned
• Advise/mentor undergraduate and graduate students

Scholarship/Research

• Implement an active research agenda on biomechanics topics thatleads to nationally/internationally refereed publications andpresentations
• Pursue external funding for research
• Direct graduate/undergraduate research projects

Service

• Provide service to the department, university, and professionalorganizations

Functional and Supervisory Relationships

This position reports to the academic department chair and worksclosely with department faculty.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrate experience and evidence of university-levelteaching
• Experience in delivering undergraduate and/or graduatecoursework on biomechanics

• Credentialed by relevant professional organizations (e.g.,NSCA, TPI, etc.)
