Job summary

Auburn University at Montgomery is inviting applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Biology. The successful candidate will enhance strengths in molecular biology, cancer biology, microbiology or physiology and support a growing MS program in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.

Preference will be given to researchers focusing on biomedicine or biotechnology; candidates working in cancer, immunology or metabolomics are of particular interest.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. required; postdoctoral experience preferred.
• Develop a funded research program involving undergraduate and graduate students.
• Appointments at Associate/Professor rank require demonstrated funding success.
• Teach and mentor undergraduates and graduates; mentor first‑generation students.
• Teach with innovative, evidence‑based, inclusive pedagogical practices; eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide undergraduate and graduate instruction in Biology.
• Mentor and supervise undergraduate and graduate students in research projects.
• Contribute to department and MS program development and collaboration.
