The University of Chicago invites applications for full-time tenure-track faculty at the rank of assistant professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. The position is benefits eligible in a world-class environment centered in Chicago’s Hyde Park, with access to premier core facilities and collaborations with Argonne National Laboratory and Fermilab.

Qualified applicants must have a doctoral degree or equivalent prior to employment start.

Qualifications

• PhD required prior to start of employment.
• Research focus in macromolecular dynamics and structure.
• Experience with state-of-the-art core facilities and computational analysis encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead an independent research program.
• Contribute to teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Collaborate within BSD and with Argonne/Fermilab as appropriate.
