DMU is seeking an Anatomy Faculty Member who is passionate about teaching, discovery, and service.

What you’ll do:

In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering an exceptional educational experience while advancing scholarly work and contributing to the academic community. You will:

  • Teach and/or coordinate courses within the prescribed curriculum, including engaging classroom and gross anatomy laboratory instruction.
  • Facilitate active learning through small‑group experiences such as problem‑based and case‑based sessions.
  • Support student success through mentoring, advising, and maintaining regular office hours.
  • Design and implement effective instructional strategies, assessments, and innovative teaching approaches.
  • Develop and sustain an independent, externally funded research program.
  • Prepare and submit grant proposals and disseminate research through peer‑reviewed publications.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development to stay at the forefront of anatomical sciences.
  • Actively contribute to departmental, university, and professional service, including governance and committee work.
  • Engage in community outreach and service initiatives that reflect DMU’s mission.
