Job summary

The Ohio State University’s Division of Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacognosy invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position, to join the university’s AI (X) Hub and its AI for Health initiative. The appointee will develop an independent, externally funded program at the intersection of AI, drug discovery, and chemical biology.

Qualifications

Ph.D. or equivalent in chemistry, chemical biology, biochemistry, biophysics, structural biology, or a closely related field.
Strong record of fundamental or applied research at the intersection of artificial intelligence and drug discovery.
Evidence of potential to secure extramural funding.
Commitment to excellence in teaching, mentorship, and service.

Responsibilities

Establish a nationally recognized, independent, externally funded research program at the intersection of artificial intelligence, drug discovery, and chemical biology.
Develop and apply innovative AI and computational methodologies for therapeutic discovery.
Contribute to undergraduate, graduate, and professional education through effective teaching in medicinal chemistry, chemical biology, computational drug discovery, artificial intelligence, or related areas.
