Job summary

Oklahoma State University is seeking an Assistant Professor of Agricultural Education for an 11-month, tenure-track appointment with a 75% Instruction and 25% Oklahoma Agricultural Experiment Station allocation. The start date is negotiable, and the candidate will engage in on-campus and online teaching to support pre-service and in-service teachers.

Qualifications

• PhD in agricultural education or closely related discipline; must be completed before employment.
• At least three years of professional experience as a school-based agricultural education teacher.
• Proven excellence in teaching, including distance education delivery.
• Show promise for research and scholarship in agricultural education.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in agricultural education, on campus and online.
• Lead Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education (CASE) Initiatives.
• Recruit, advise and mentor students.
• Supervise student teaching interns.
• Advance scholarship through teaching innovations, grants, and curriculum development.
• Develop a strong research program in agricultural teacher education.
