Chicago Public Schools seeks an Assistant Principal to lead in the principal's absence and oversee educational, administrative, supervisory, and counseling activities at the school. You will help implement SIPAAA, monitor budgets, supervise student activities, guide students, and coordinate staff performance and hiring processes.

Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills are essential, as is the ability to work with teachers, parents, and community partners to support student achievement

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Type 75 Educational Administrative Certificate.
• Thorough knowledge of elementary and secondary education and CPS policies.

Responsibilities

• Assists in development and implementation of SIPAAA and school budget monitoring.
• Plans and supervises student activity programs.
• Provides guidance to students and handles disciplinary actions.
• Meets with parents to review progress.
• Supervises staff in lunchrooms, corridors, and playgrounds.
• Assists in interviewing and recommending teachers and career service candidates.
