Job summary

Heritage Oak Private Education seeks a Multi-Campus Preschool Assistant Principal to support Heads of School across Merryhill preschools in the Sacramento area. The role emphasizes instructional leadership, teacher coaching, family engagement, enrollment efforts, and safe, well-managed campuses.

You will begin at the Sacramento Midtown Preschool, providing leadership during principal absence and may rotate among campuses to meet school needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Child Development or a related field is required.
Minimum of 12 core Early Childhood Education units required.
One year in a school leadership or administrative role is required.
At least three years of prior teaching experience.
Knowledge of state education and licensing standards is required.

Responsibilities

Support instructional leadership and preschool curriculum implementation.
Observe classrooms and coach teachers to improve instructional quality.
Monitor children’s progress and support developmentally appropriate interventions.
Lead campus operations and compliance across Sacramento-area preschools.
Engage families and strengthen relationships.
Support enrollment goals and campus events.
Provide flexible leadership coverage across Sacramento-area preschools.
