The Diocese of Orlando Catholic Schools is seeking an Assistant Principal in Winter Haven, Florida, to help manage and lead the total school program. This role involves administrative oversight and support for educators, ensuring a productive and disciplined educational environment.
The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and a Florida Professional Certificate. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a commitment to the Catholic mission.
The Assistant Principal serves as a member of the administrative team to develop and implement the total school program. The Assistant Principal assists the principal in the overall administration of the school, and may plan, direct, or coordinate the academic, administrative, disciplinary, or auxiliary activities of the private Catholic school. In addition to these responsibilities, the Assistant Principal may have direct oversight of the school’s Early Childhood program.

Practice of the Catholic faith is required. Church employees must conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with and supportive of the mission and purpose of the Church. Their public behavior must not violate the faith, morals or laws of the Church or the policies of the diocese.
Hold a Master’s Degree from an accredited university or college that is recognized acceptable for Florida certification. Must hold or obtain a Florida Professional Certificate in Educational Leadership within three years of hire. Must work towards a Master’s level Diocesan Catechist Certification within five years of hire.
The working hours of this position are not limited to an 8-hour day. This person will need to be available in the evening and weekends, as needed.
The ability to sit and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to reach, grasp, feel, and see up close and from afar. Must be able to use basic office computer hardware and peripherals, with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to communicate verbally and in written form. Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (15 pounds).
