Salary: up to $125k base

Client: Established Commercial General Contractor specializing in corporate, healthcare, light industrial, mixed-use, retail, and renovation projects.

This opportunity is ideal for an early-career Estimator or Preconstruction professional looking to develop their technical skills, gain exposure to diverse commercial projects, and progress into a Preconstruction Manager role.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, and project cost analyses.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and review construction drawings and specifications.
• Support subcontractor solicitation, bid comparisons, and scope reviews.
• Coordinate the distribution of bid documents, addenda, and project information.
• Assist with value engineering exercises and constructability reviews.
• Maintain accurate estimating documentation, cost data, and project records.
• Work alongside senior preconstruction staff throughout the estimating and bidding process.
• Support the transition of awarded projects from preconstruction to operations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of estimating or preconstruction experience, preferably with a Commercial General Contractor.
• Understanding of construction estimating, quantity takeoffs, and subcontractor pricing.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Exposure to commercial construction projects preferred.
• Familiarity with estimating software such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar platforms.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
