Job summary

Thompson Turner Construction, a division of Thompson Construction Group, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in the Low Country (South Carolina). You will plan, direct, and coordinate activities of designated projects to ensure goals are met within prescribed time and budget parameters.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience in commercial general contracting, a 4-year degree in engineering or construction management, and strong Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• Requires a 3–5 year track record in commercial general contracting.
• 4-year degree in engineering or construction management or equivalent plus experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and ready to handle project data with precision.

Responsibilities

• Reviews project proposals or plans to determine schedule, budget, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase and arranges recruitment or assignment of personnel/subcontractors.
• Confers with project staff to outline work plan, duties, responsibilities, and authority.
• Directs and coordinates activities to ensure progress on schedule and within budget.
• Prepares status reports and presents updates monthly to clients and corporate personnel.
