Job summary

Read Photography is seeking an Assistant Photographer & Photo Editor for a full-time on-site role in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will support photographers during shoots, assist with lighting, and work as a secondary photographer on larger jobs while potentially progressing to a primary photographer for site and studio work.

You’ll manage equipment, process and color-correct photos, and handle packaging of orders, ensuring a positive client experience in both studio and on-location settings.

Hours: 9am-4:30pm (studio hours), varied hours for photography

Pay: Based on experience

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Photographer & Photo Editor located in Cedar Rapids, IA. The Assistant Photographer & Photo Editor will support photographers during photoshoots, assist with lighting setup, work as a secondary photographer on larger jobs, and eventually work as a primary photographer for both location and studio photos. Additional day-to-day responsibilities include managing equipment, processing/color correcting photos, packaging photo orders, and providing a positive experience for clients in both studio and on-location settings.
