Job summary

Supplyone Inc. in Weyers Cave, VA is seeking an Assistant Operator to help the operator of a high-speed slitter machine. You will assist machin es operators and help ensure product quality and line efficiency.

You will set up the machine, interpret work orders, retrieve supplies, and assist with packaging and shipping preparation, while maintaining a clean work area and contributing to a safe work environment.

POSITION SUMMARYOur Assistant Operators are responsible for helping the operator of a high-speed slitter machine. You will assist our Machine Operators and make sure the overall quality and efficiency of the machine is met.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSResponsible to ensure the machine is operating efficiently while producing product that conforms to quality standards.Effectively setup machine and line equipment.Accurately interpret work orders and other instructions required by supervision.Retrieves other supplies and materials for the machine.Assemble and label boxes with accuracy for shipping for custom and stock items.Complete tasks within the specified timeframe accurately and professionally while working independently and/or as a team.Responsible for housekeeping of the general area around the machine including sweeping the workarea and picking up loose items.POSITION QUALIFICATIONSAccountability: The extent to which an individual is willing to accept responsibility.Accuracy: The extent to which an individual’s work is correct and accurate within company policies and guidelines.Adaptability: The extent to which an individual can fit into a changing work environment.Effective Communication Skills: Oral & WrittenOrganized: The ability of the individual to be structured.Problem Solving: The ability to recognize courses of action which can be taken to handle problems or potential problems.Safety Awareness: The ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safetyThe final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors such as work location, job-related skills, qualifications, experience, responsibilities, and relevant education and training.
