Job summary

Pregis LLC in Plymouth, IN is hiring for a Production Operator. You will assist in setting up and running production lines, catch and stack planks, and support scrap reduction and material recovery. The role requires basic math, tape measure reading, and forklift operation, with SAP experience a plus.

This is a hands-on manufacturing position in an indoor facility with heat and noise. You will work across shifts and support maintenance and housekeeping tasks while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Prior manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
• Ability to read a tape measure and document quality data.
• Forklift and industrial vehicle operation experience.
• Safety-conscious mindset and ability to follow standardized work instructions.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus.
• Indoor manufacturing facility (non-airconditioned) with heat and noise.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Operator in setting up and running production lines to meet quality and efficiency standards.
• Catch planks as they come off the conveyor and stack them appropriately.
• Grind plank scrap to support material recovery.
• Assist with die changes.
• Operate forklifts and other powered industrial vehicles to stage materials.
• Perform quality checks (length/width, vacuum tests, micrometer readings).
• Minimize scrap and maximize material recovery.
• Support minor maintenance tasks and housekeeping.
• Ensure safety procedures and PPE requirements are followed.
• Collaborate across shifts for smooth transitions.
• Assist Maintenance with troubleshooting when needed.

What You’ll Do

What You Bring

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required.
• Prior manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
• Ability to read a tape measure and document quality data.
• Forklift and industrial vehicle operation experience.

• Heat may exceed 90°F, humidity over 80%, and noise levels above 85 dB
• Exposure to moving equipment and machinery

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (upa to 50 lbs)
• Repetitive use of hands, wrists, shoulders, knees, and other joints
• Occasional stair and ladder climbing
