Job summary

LDRM is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to lead a large functional area on a production-based government contract. You will work with the Operations Manager, Program Manager, the U.S. government customer, and staff to drive production and quality outcomes.

The role requires seven years of management experience, a Bachelor's degree or higher, and the ability to obtain a TOP SECRET clearance. You will hire and mentor staff, monitor performance, and lead continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain TOP SECRET clearance.

Job Summary:?

As the Assistant Operations Manager, you manage a large functional area on a production-based government contract. You are responsible for your functional area’s overall production and quality levels. You work collaboratively with the Operations Manager, Program Manager, the U.S. government customer, and our incredible staff. You will also manage and maintain involvement in employee hiring, operations and quality reporting, contract management, and operations excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and ensure excellent team operations performance that meets all our requirements and standards
  • Hire and manage a technically proficient and professionally capable staff throughout the life of the contract
  • Provide timely deliverables and performance-related data to the government customer and our people to allow adequate support services monitoring, oversight, and performance measurement
  • Conduct continuous improvement activities which will realize improved service delivery capabilities and performance
  • Promote innovation, efficiency, and effectiveness at every opportunity
  • Resolve problems with minimal disruption to contract activity performance
  • Rapidly respond to surge requests and provide the appropriate levels of qualified staff
  • Participate as required in conference calls and digital video conferences with our U.S. government customer and other government entities
  • Provide formal and informal briefings to visitors or at off-site conferences
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
  • At least seven (7) years of management experience
  • At least five (5) years of management experience on a large-scale operation
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Show superior organizational skills and work ethic
  • Have a demonstrated ability to lead large teams
  • Live within 90 miles of the National Visa Center in Portsmouth, New Hampshire
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Have the ability to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET-level federal security clearance
Your Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience managing a large U.S. government contract or program
Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be required to stand; walk; sit; lift up to 20 lbs.; bend; reach; carry; stoop; kneel; use hand and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; use fingers and hands to type or write; speak; or hear. Specific vision abilities may be required to perform the job which may include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, or the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Mainly office but may also include all other work environments as required. Periodic coverage on all shifts is expected at times, but this role is largely focused on first shift activities. You can expect to work between 45 and 50 hours per week in this critical role.
