Qualifications

• Active California RN license.
• Master’s or higher degree including coursework in Nursing, Education and/or Administration.
• Minimum of three years’ experience as a registered nurse; one year in teaching/clinical supervision or nursing administration/education in the last five years.
• Completed courses in teaching, curriculum development, and administration.
• Equivalent experience and/or education as determined by the Board of Vocational Nurses and Psychiatric Technicians.
• Strong knowledge of nursing education standards and accreditation requirements.
• Effective leadership and team-building abilities.
• Strong technical skills including computer applications, internet research, database management, and analytical skills.
• Online, hybrid, remote or blended teaching experience is highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and maintain the curriculum to meet state, accreditation, and industry standards.
• Assist in development and review of course materials, assessments, and teaching methodologies.
• Create a compassionate, student-oriented and caring academic environment.
• Monitor student progress and provide academic support as needed.
• Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluating nursing faculty members.
• Coordinate faculty schedules and assignments to ensure proper coverage for classes and clinical rotations.
• Facilitate regular faculty meetings for communication and professional development.
• Provide guidance and support to students, including academic advising and addressing concerns.
• Oversee clinical placement for students.
• Assist with preparation of reports and documentation for accreditation and state regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate on budget management and resource allocation.
• Organize and participate in nursing program events such as orientations and graduations.
• Adhere to institutional policies and codes of conduct; uphold confidentiality and ethics.
• Engage in team-based learning and faculty development; contribute to an inclusive learning environment.
• Participate in College committees as assigned by Executive Team.
