American Advanced Management, Inc is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager in Stockton, California. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supervising personnel and coordinating the operational activities of a specific nursing unit, basing decision‑making on patient acuity, staff skills mix, and unit census for a 12‑hour work shift. The Assistant Nurse Manager directs the clinical nursing care for patients on the assigned unit, demonstrates effective leadership skills, directs and participates with the nursing care team in the delivery of quality nursing care in a safe environment, responds to nursing personnel requests for patient care assistance, and intervenes as an expert clinician when necessary to ensure quality patient outcomes and experience. The role also requires conducting board rounds on each patient to ensure that patient and family needs are met, managing the performance of unit personnel, and providing administrative and clinical support in the provision of quality patient care and sharing in the financial management of the unit. The Assistant Nurse Manager must maintain clinical competencies in the unit, providing direct patient care when necessary, perform all patient care and operational duties subject to reasonable accommodations, employ all mandatory safety devices and procedures, and participate in the Respiratory Protection Program, which may include wearing a respirator.
