Job summary

Northwell Health in Bay Shore, NY seeks an experienced Nurse Manager to oversee a patient care unit during assigned shifts. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, ensure delivery of high-quality, family-centered care, and model professional practice.

The role requires BSN, NY RN license, 4–6 years nursing and 0–2 years leadership, plus ICU experience preferred. You will collaborate with nursing leadership, participate in budget input, and promote evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• 1.Manages and leads team members, operations and patient care activities within a patient care unit during assigned shift.

• 14.Demonstrates core clinical competencies for patient population of oversight in order to supervise and provide direct patient care.
• 15.Maintains current knowledge of scope and standards of practice, healthcare legislation, and population health.
• 16.Interprets policies, procedures and technical methods for team members.
• 17.Identifies opportunities and makes recommendations that improve patient care delivery and team effectiveness using evidence-based strategies and solutions.

Job Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State, required.
• Specialized certifications, as needed.
• 4-6 years of nursing experience and 0-2 years of leadership/management experience, required.

2 years ICU experience, highly preferred.
