Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for Medicine (16W) to provide clinical leadership on the 16W unit, ensuring care excellence and staff development. You will partner with diverse teams to optimize quality, patient experience, and operational efficiency.

The role requires a BSN, 2 years of experience, and NY state RN licensure with BLS. The position supports onboarding, scheduling, and ongoing professional growth within a highly collaborative academic medical center.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is required.
• 2 years of experience required.
• Clinical certification in the patient population served or nurse leader certification preferred.

• Participate in drafting nursing and organizational policy, engaging front-line staff.
• Support data collection and analyze data to drive practice changes for quality and safety.
• Assist leadership in maintaining licenses, certifications, and mandated learnings for unit staff.
• Foster high reliability concepts within the unit.
• Participate in nursing research, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice efforts.

Requirements

• Education:
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing required
• Experience:
  • 2 years of experience required
  • Clinical certification in the patient population served or nurse leader certification preferred
• Licenses & Certifications:
  • Current Registered Professional Nurse licensure in New York State
  • Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association required
