Job summary

AdventHealth Palm Coast is seeking a skilled nurse leader to manage assigned nursing staff, recruitment, coaching, and payroll. You will apply critical thinking, foster psychological safety, and promote evidence-based practice to sustain high-quality patient care.

The role requires an Associate's in Nursing, RN license, BLS and ACLS; Bachelor's preferred. You will oversee schedules, budgets, audits, and staff development while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and patient safety.

Qualifications

• RN license required and current.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred.
• Experience leading other leaders in a clinical setting preferred.
• Associate's degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise direct reports including recruitment, hiring, coaching, and payroll.
• Promote safety, quality, and continuous learning in the unit.
• Provide ongoing education to nursing staff and conduct regular staff meetings.
• Prepare unit for audits and surveys, ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage nurse schedules and budgets to meet goals.
• Support service program development and patient care improvements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

• Manages assigned direct reports including recruitment, hiring, coaching, disciplinary actions, development, education, competencies, performance evaluations, and payroll functions.
• Demonstrates critical thinking skills, creativity, and resource management to achieve quality performance and positive employee relations.
• Fosters a culture of psychological safety, where the team members feel supported, valued, empowered to speak up, share concerns, and contribute meaningfully.
• Promotes evidence-based practice, ensuring quality outcomes, and fostering a culture of safety, compassion, and continuous learning.
• Provides ongoing education and training to nursing staff to maintain high competency levels.
• Conducts regular staff meetings to communicate updates, address concerns and provide guidance.
• Prepares the unit for audits and surveys, by monitoring and maintaining unit compliance with regulatory standards, accrediting, hospital policies while coordinating staff education to maintain competencies and preparedness.
• Manages nursing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and optimal patient care.
• Manages budgets and resources efficiently to meet financial and operational goals.
• Assists in developing, implementing, and evaluating ongoing service programs to ensure quality nursing and patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.

$34.32 - $63.84
