Job summary

U-Haul is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Malden, MA to oversee daily center operations in the General Manager’s absence. You will lead a team to ensure top-notch customer service and quality care, with hands-on tasks such as hitch installations and brake controller setup.

You will participate in ongoing training through U‑Haul University. Strong leadership, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
• Leadership experience in any form is desirable.
• Customer service experience is required.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts is required.

Responsibilities

• Run daily operations of center in GM’s absence and allocate resources to projects.
• Manage and assign team members to ensure excellent customer care.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks such as installing hitches, brake controllers, etc.
• Participate in ongoing U‑Haul education through U‑Haul University.

Assistant General Manager Responsibilities

Run daily operations of center in General Manager’s absence. Make moment-to-moment decisions to allocate time and resources to appropriate. projects Manage and assign your team members to ensure that customers receive an excellent first impression and the highest quality of care. Miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches, brake controllers, etc. Participate in ongoing continuous U‑Haul education through U‑Haul University.

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent Driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record Leadership experience in any form Customer service experience Ability to work a variety of shifts

Work Environment

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g. working around moving parts, machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.

Physical Demands

The work requires some physical exertion, such as, long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50lbs. assisted or unassisted.

U‑Haul History
