Job summary

Grandview Heights Schools is seeking a Middle School Assistant Wrestling Coach for the upcoming 26-27 school year at Larry Larson Middle School in Columbus, Ohio. As the Assistant Coach, you will supervise and develop practices, support the Head Coach, and ensure a safe, engaging experience for roughly 10–20 student-athletes, six days per week, with 15–20 hours of weekly commitment.

Requirements include coaching experience, board-of-education and OHSAA requirements, pupil activity permit, CPR

Qualifications

Experience in the designated sport.
Must meet coaching requirements incl pupil activity permit and CPR.
Prior coaching experience preferred.
Van certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise and instruct the boys’ middle school wrestling team (≈10–20 athletes).
Assist the Head Middle School Wrestling Coach with coaching, communication, and administrative duties.
Conduct regular practices for the team.
Coach student-athletes in a positive manner.
Ensure the safety of all student-athletes during practices and competitions.
Develop practice and training plans for athletes with differing ability levels.
Coaching will require six days per week including practices and contests. 15-20 hours per week is a typical time commitment for the coach.
Supervise and travel with the team to all contests.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
