Job description

About Poshmark

Poshmark is the leading fashion marketplace where style comes alive through discovery, self-expression, and human connection. Powered by a vibrant community of 165 million members, Poshmark brings real people and taste to shopping through a social experience shaped by shared discovery. Buying and selling fashion feels simple, joyful, and personal, while every item tells its own story. Poshmark empowers sellers to grow meaningful businesses, keeps fashion in circulation longer, and gives shoppers access to unique and trusted finds, from everyday pieces to one-of-a-kind vintage and luxury.

This is a hands-on role at the core of how Poshmark’s inventory gets understood, tracked, and activated. You’ll work closely with the Category Merchandising Manager to monitor what’s moving across the platform, support supply and demand analysis, and help execute the merchandising strategy across categories and channels.

You’ll be the engine room of the category merchandising function — building and maintaining the reporting that keeps the team informed, tracking trend and inventory signals across categories, and supporting the execution of merchandising plans across editorial, promotional, and in-app surfaces.

This is an ideal role for someone who is curious about how product and data intersect, has strong commercial instincts they want to develop, and wants to grow into a more senior merchandising position over time. You’ll learn how to connect supply and demand intelligence to real business outcomes — and be given increasing ownership as you build your track record.

What you will do:

Read demand and keep the team ahead of it
Maintain reporting on listing to sales ratios, listing volume, search trends, and category performance to drive in season actions and adjust future looking strategies. Catch what’s shifting before it becomes obvious, and bring a product and market point of view into weekly and monthly merchandising reviews, not just the numbers.

Help find the gap between supply and demand
Break inventory health down by category, brand, and price point to see where supply is too thin and where depth isn’t converting. This is where you start building the same instinct the Manager relies on — translating the data into a case for what to acquire and what to activate, and bringing that case forward rather than just the raw numbers.

Keep a pulse on fashion and culture
Understand and regularly share out what is happening fashion, resale, and pop culture — emerging trends, brand heat, seasonal shifts — and bring it to the team backed by data, not just instinct. The best actions usually start with someone noticing something early, informing the team and putting together a course of action.

Turn the plan into reality
Own the execution layer of merchandising plans: editorial curation, promotional setups, category page updates, and coordination with creative and growth. Accuracy, brand consistency, and hitting the calendar aren’t secondary here — they’re what makes the strategy real.

Be the connective tissue on delivery
Work across growth, creative, product, and supply to keep merchandising plans clearly briefed and executed on time. Spot blockers early and raise them before they become delays — reliability here is what earns you more ownership over time.
