Job summary

Bed Bath & Beyond is seeking a detail-oriented Merchandising Assistant in Utah to support the daily operations of the Merchandising Team. You will respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders and assist with data preparation and reporting for assigned tasks.

You will curate products for marketing campaigns, evaluate vendors, and handle Purchase Orders, including re-orders and performance analysis.

Qualifications

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications; able to interact with suppliers and employees at all levels.
  • Excellent time management and decision-making; prioritize and organize tasks.
  • Able to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines; work independently and be proactive.

Responsibilities

  • Supports daily operations of the Merchandising Team and responds to inquiries.
  • Assists with data preparation and reporting for assigned tasks; analyzes reports for insights.
  • Curates product for marketing; evaluates vendor products and selects those for campaigns.
  • Enters, updates, manages, and tracks Purchase Orders; recommends re-orders and analyzes performance.
  • Reviews competitor promotions and pricing; makes pricing, promotion, and assortment recommendations.
  • Suggests process changes to improve service, quality, and/or reduce costs.
  • Assists with ensuring compliance with prescribed guidelines and requirements.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Essential Job Duties
  • Supports the daily operations of the Merchandising Team and responds to internal and external inquiries.
  • Assists with the preparation and proofing of data, style lists, or reports for assigned tasks and analyzes reporting for insights.
  • Curates product for marketing purposes, evaluates vendor products, and selects those best suited to campaigns.
  • Enters, updates, manages, and tracks Purchase Orders for core buys, recommends re‑orders, and helps analyze performance.
  • Reviews competitor promotions and pricing, and makes suggestions on pricing, promotions, and assortment.
  • Recommends process changes to improve service, quality, and/or reduce costs.
  • Follows prescribed legal guidelines and requirements.
  • Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proven ability to collaborate with others to understand and complete project goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills; able to professionally interact with suppliers and employees at all levels.
  • Excellent time management and decision‑making skills; able to prioritize and organize tasks and projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing deadlines, work independently, and be proactive.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and work effectively and collaboratively across various departments to meet goals and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1‑2 years of office experience, preferably in an e‑Commerce setting.
  • Degree in Merchandising, Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or a related field.
Physical Requirements

Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods. The position requires general office functions, occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds, and frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
