Eureka College is looking for an Assistant Men's Soccer Coach to support recruitment, coaching, and retention efforts for their soccer program. This role involves teaching soccer to student-athletes, managing a men's JV team, and assisting the Head Coach with daily operations and recruitment goals.
Candidates should have at least one year of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s Degree, with the ability to communicate effectively and maintain good relationships within the athletic department. The position has a target salary range of $28,000 - $30,000 annually.
The Assistant Men's Soccer Coach provides assistance to the Head Men’s Soccer Coaches regarding recruitment, coaching, and retention of soccer players. Demonstrating a willingness and capability to abide by Athletic Department, Eureka College, Saint Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III rules as applicable in soccer, the Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach provides daily assistance to the Head Men’s Soccer Coach as directed.
Essential: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four year college or university; or High School diploma/GED with related professional playing experience.
Desirable: Master’s Degree.
Essential: At least one year of related experience.
Desirable: College coaching experience.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Work is routinely performed indoors, in office environments and in gyms, and other recreational environments. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. Off campus travel is required.
Varies, typical office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM. Schedules vary depending on contests and practice schedules as well as recruitment.
