California State University, Bakersfield is seeking an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach (Coaching Assistant – 12month) to support student-athlete development, recruit talent, and manage day-to-day program operations. The role requires teaching technical skills, developing strategic game plans, and complying with university and NCAA standards.
The position is full-time for the 2025/2026 academic year with Spring 2026 availability.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education or THREE (3) or more years of work experience coaching, NCAA Division I experience is preferred. A successful record of recruiting NCAA Division I student-athletes is preferred. Candidate must possess excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a large variety of constituents.
This appointment is a full-time position and is paid monthly. Salary range: $6,288‑$7,658, in accordance with the CSU Unit 3 salary schedule. Anticipated Hiring Range: $6,288 - $7,500 monthly. Actual salary is commensurate with education and experience.
