Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health Behavioral Services (BILHBS) is seeking an Assistant Medical Director to oversee medical operations across Ambulatory Clinic, Urgent Care, Mobile Crisis Intervention and Community Crisis Stabilization. The role includes supervising clinicians, guiding care models, and ensuring on-call medical coverage.

The ideal candidate will hold an MD with MA license and board certification in psychiatry for adults and youths, with CBHC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• MD with active MA Physician License and DEA registration.
• Board Certification in Adult and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
• CBHC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Operations: Oversee medical staff and refine models of care in CBHC services.
• Team Leadership: Provide clinical supervision to psychiatrists, NPs, nurses and medical assistants.
• Direct Care & On-Call: Deliver psychopharmacology services as needed and coordinate on-call coverage.
• Documentation: Complete progress notes and documentation within 48 hours.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Represent BILHBS at state and local meetings.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to HIPAA, SAMHSA, CARF, DMH, DPH, BSAS and state regulations.
