Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Meat Department Manager in the United States to lead daily Meat Department operations, drive sales, and ensure top‑notch product quality and customer service.

You will oversee planning, scheduling, merchandising, and staff development in a fast-paced retail environment, with emphasis on safety, compliance, and profitability.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily Meat Department operations to meet service, quality, and financial expectations.
  • Maintain a professional, customer‑focused environment and respond to inquiries and special orders.
  • Plan and coordinate daily production activities including preparation, packaging, stocking, and merchandising.
  • Ensure displays are stocked, rotated, labeled, and maintained to standards.
  • Implement promotional and seasonal programs as scheduled.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, temperature, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review production results and adjust activities to support yield and profitability goals.
  • Manage ordering, inventory levels, shrink, reclamation, and departmental expenses.
  • Maintain clean, safe work areas including preparation rooms, coolers, freezers, display cases, and equipment.
  • Schedule, train, coach, and oversee associates to ensure coverage and performance expectations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage daily Meat Department operations to meet service, quality, and financial expectations
  • Maintain a professional, customer‑focused environment and respond to customer inquiries and special orders
