Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Meat Department Manager to lead daily operations, ensure product quality, and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will oversee production planning, merchandising, inventory control, and compliance with safety standards while coaching team members to achieve sales and profitability goals.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily Meat Department operations to meet service, quality, and financial expectations.
  • Maintain a professional, customer-focused environment and respond to inquiries.
  • Plan and coordinate daily production activities including preparation, packaging, stocking, and merchandising.
  • Ensure displays stocked, rotated, labeled, and maintained to company standards.
  • Implement promotional and seasonal programs as scheduled.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, temperature, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review production results and adjust activities to support yield and profitability goals.
  • Manage ordering, inventory levels, shrink, reclamation, and departmental expenses.
  • Maintain clean, safe work areas including prep rooms, coolers, freezers, display cases, and equipment.
  • Schedule, train, coach, and oversee associates to ensure coverage and performance.
  • Complete and maintain required documentation including logs, reports, and audits.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage daily Meat Department operations to meet service, quality, and financial expectations
