Job summary

Big 5 Sporting Goods is seeking an Assistant Manager Trainee in a part-time role. This entry-level position provides a clear path to higher management through a structured training program and hands-on leadership experience in a fast-paced sporting goods store.

You will support store operations, supervise sales and cashier staff, and deliver exceptional customer service while learning the business and management skills required for advancement.

Our Assistant Manager Trainee Part-time gains knowledge and experience,requiredfor promotion to higher management positions underdirectionof experienced personnel, by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates. A well-defined training program will be provided to help you develop your way in our management structure. This entry-level position is purposely designed to be transitory andgenerally lasts6-18 monthsbefore promotion to the next level. Position Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Strong communicationand interpersonal skills
• Mustpossessbasic organizational and/or applicable math skills
• Detail-oriented and reliable
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic knowledge of sporting goods is a plus
• MustpossessHigh School diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency Exam
