Job summary

Ace Hardware is seeking an Assistant Manager to run the day-to-day store operations in partnership with the Store Manager. This full-time, salaried role shares responsibility for sales, profitability, inventory, and customer service to uphold Ace’s promise to Amaze Every Customer Every Time.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of leadership experience in a retail setting.
• Supervisory experience required; exposure to P&L and budgeting a plus.
• Hardware product knowledge or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Store Manager on hiring decisions and in Manager’s absence.
• Train and develop associates, provide ongoing feedback, recognize accomplishments.
• Supervise staff to ensure sales goals and procedures are followed.
• Co-develop and carry out in-store marketing, promotions and events with the Store Manager.
• Oversee inventory, receiving, freight and transfers.
• Serve as manager on duty and resolve escalated issues.
