Love's Travel Stops in Iowa is seeking a Restaurant Assistant Manager to lead staff, ensure safe, clean facilities, and drive sales through efficient operations and high-quality customer service.

You will assist the Restaurant Manager with scheduling, reporting, and daily tasks, while collaborating on talent acquisition and ensuring strong customer satisfaction in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ years restaurant management experience.
• 1+ years managing operations with annual sales > $1M.
• 1+ years budgeting and P&L experience.
• 1+ years supervising 5–10+ employees.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff and ensure safe, clean facility with food safety adherence.
• Drive sales through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory and prep.
• Assist Restaurant Manager with tasks, scheduling, cash integrity, and reporting.
• Prepare and package customer orders to meet service expectations.
• Analyze profit and loss statements and act on opportunities.
• Collaborate with Restaurant Manager on talent acquisition.

Job Functions:

• Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained facility through facilities and equipment maintenance along with adherence to proper food safety procedures.
• Drive sales of products and services through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory management, and food preparation.
• Assist the Restaurant Manager with proper task execution and completion, schedule and cash integrity, and complete daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
• Work with the team to prepare and package customer orders in a timely manner to maximize customer service expectations and results.
• Understandfinancial reporting to include analyzing profit and loss statements and affecting changes to capture and capitalize on opportunities.
• Collaborate with Restaurant Manager in the efforts of talent acquisition.

Requirements:

• Ability to work various shift times to include days, afternoons, evenings, nights, occasional overnights, weekends, and holidays.
• 1+ years restaurant management experience.
• 1+ years managing operations with an annual sales volume of $1+million.
• 1+ years affecting and deciphering budgets and P&L statements.
• 1+ years supervising and training 5-10+ employees.
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Additional screening may include a motor vehicle check and/or DOT Physical.
