Playa Bowls Georgetown, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily operations, train staff, and ensure top-notch customer experiences in a fast-paced setting.

This urgent role offers base pay ranging from $15.00 to $18.00 hourly, plus a bonus program and tip pool. You’ll have opportunities to advance to General Manager as the company grows, while enjoying Playa Discounts and a lively, fun work environment.

Qualifications

• Must pass PB Food Safety certification within 3 months.
• Food Safety Manager Certificate or equivalent within 30 days.
• Proven managerial experience in a restaurant setting.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations and ensure quality and consistency of products.

As the Assistant Store Manager, you will be doing a variety of tasks from training new employees to strategically resolving problems. What You’ll Do

• Check products to ensure consistency, palatability, and quality
• Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service, and accommodations
• Schedule and receive food and beverage deliveries, checking delivery contents to verify product quality and quantity
• Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and garnishing and presentation of food to make sure it’s up to Company Standards
• Schedule staff hours utilizing appropriate systems/software and assign duties to ensure economical use of food and timely preparation
• Review work procedures and operational problems to determine ways to improve service, performance, or safety
• Perform some food preparation or service tasks
• Maintain food and equipment inventories
• Organize and direct worker training programs, resolve personnel problems, hire new staff, and evaluate employee performances
• Arrange for equipment maintenance and repairs, and coordinate a variety of services
• Utilize POS system, operate cash register and make bank deposits.
• Adhere to company opening and closing procedures and maintain accompanying records

Requirements

• Must pass the required PB Food Safety certification requirement within 3 months of employment.

• Must work up to 40 hours a week, including weekends and holidays but expected to work as the business dictates

Essential Physical Functions

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time
• Must be able to lift or otherwise move 25-40 pounds occasionally
• Must be able to retrieve items from high and low shelving, the fridge/freezer, and under counters.
